Ground Floor News: The Ground Floor Way

April 2018

Congratulations Ground Floor Client Strada Investment Group

Transparency, engagement, and trust: that’s the Ground Floor way. Our client Strada Investment Group shares those values, and they paid off earlier this month when the Redwood City City Council unanimously approved Strada’s new waterfront development of 131 townhomes.

Councilmember Alicia Aguirre noted, “I’ve been on this council since 2005 and I can count two times where there was actually a community that was supportive of a project without a lot of resistance. And the reason is because the developer and the people they worked with took the time to meet and listen and became part of the community. And I’m saying that out loud to other developers and folks that want to join our community to really embrace it, learn it and be a part of it.” It pays to do things right. GLIDE and Ground Floor

For well over five decades GLIDE has been a part of the social fabric of San Francisco. Some may even argue that the organization, when first led by Reverend Cecil Williams back in the mid-sixties, actually helped shape the San Francisco of today – one that is accepting of all. We could not be more excited to be working with GLIDE and its President and CEO, Karen Hanrahan, who was recently named one of the 2018 Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business by the San Francisco Business Times. Together, Ground Floor and GLIDE will work to forge new relationships in the community, which we hope will lead to exciting and meaningful partnerships that only strengthen GLIDE and its reputation of radical inclusion for years to come.
